3. Home Energy Audits: Through BC Home Energy, we offer comprehensive energy audits and efficiency assessments for your home and new-builds. Led by David Bonser—Liam’s father and a seasoned engineer from BC Hydro—our audits are the first step toward reducing your energy footprint, enhancing efficiency, and accessing government rebates. With a background in technology, construction, and academia, including extensive experience in Japan, Todd brings unique international insights—and access—to our initiatives. Our work spans researching and sourcing advanced technological solutions for home heating and energy, as well as comprehensive community revitalization projects aimed at injecting new vitality into older homes and communities, such as Japan’s Akiyas.”

When he's not wiring up the future, he's a new dad, a church band regular, and a tech enthusiast—yep, he's got a geeky side too!
Dave, retired from BC Hydro, transforms engineering expertise into practical home energy solutions. Beyond his PhD, he’s truly hands-on, excelling as a Home Energy Auditor and builder, tackling audits and projects with zest. As geeky as Liam, technology is a family trait! Plus, they share a love for massive mini train setups—go figure!
Meet Cody, our certified Heat Pump professional and 170 lbs of twisted steel with HVAC appeal. With installations spanning across Alberta and BC, Cody knows how to keep homes cool when the thermometer takes off and warm as toast when it drops through the floor.
Todd and Liam initially bonded over their shared passion for construction, electric vehicles, and eco-friendly practices. With extensive ties in Japan and experience in technology and academia, they strive to blend innovation with reliable building methods. Todd actively curates best practices, products, and new opportunities to drive sustainable development and assist our clients, spearheading projects both in Japan and at home
A biologist turned organizational dynamo, Sarah, our Texan powerhouse, keeps NewBon in perfect rhythm, ensuring the team stays sharp (and well-fed too). Juggling motherhood and caring for our future star, William Thomas, she's also a registered Doula. So when it comes to ovens, if you have a 'bun in yours', Sarah's your gal; if you want a new oven installed in a guest suite, that's for Liam.
Tesla, our furry team member, when she's not napping, excavating trenches, or chasing squirrels, you can find her spreading joy and wagging her tail in the office. With her boundless energy and love for belly rubs, Tesla keeps the team spirits high and the atmosphere pawsitively delightful!
